Introduction to cPanel

cPanel is one of the most popular web hosting tools on the market today. This program works as the brains of your website, allowing you to make the necessary changes and adjustments to your pages. This program is relatively easy to use, even for beginners, which is what makes it such a popular product with web hosting services.

Getting into cPanel is simple. All you need to is enter your website through the correct page. Usually the url will read: yourdomainname.com/cpanel

The cPanel DashBoard

Once the page has opened, your cPanel Dashboard will be in front of you. On the left side of the page will be a list of your general account information, as well as server information for the server which holds your site information. This will give you all of the information you need about the status of your account and your website. The rest of the page contains a wide variety of icons. You can use this section to access your website’s email accounts, change your passwords and contact information, add domain names, and check your individual disk usage for specific pages and features of your site.

There are also links to modify and add other features to your site, such as chatrooms, bulletin boards, as well as adding SSL features to certain pages and functions within your web pages. You can also manage your site’s images, contact support, and access a host of other important site functions. cPanel contains everything you could possibly need to keep your site running smoothly.
